Version 2.5 Banners — Phrolova & Roccia, Followed by Cantarella & Brant
With the launch of Version 2.5, Wuthering Waves brings not one, but two powerful phases of limited-time character banners. The first half, running from July 24 to August 14, 2025, introduces Phrolova — the Hydro “Tempest Diva” — alongside the Geo powerhouse Roccia. Together, they offer players a mix of precise ranged control, high AoE damage, and unshakable frontline defense.
In the second phase, from August 14 to September 4, 2025, the spotlight shifts to the elusive Cantarella, a master of stealth and poison, and the steadfast Brant, a defensive specialist who excels in protecting allies under heavy fire. Whether you’re looking for raw damage, battlefield control, or tactical support, this banner cycle has something for every playstyle.
Phase 1 — Phrolova & Roccia (July 24 – August 14, 2025)
- Phrolova: Hydro-element Resonator with chained AoE attacks, rhythm-based skill triggers, and a powerful team-wide damage buff.
- Roccia: Geo-element juggernaut with unbreakable shields, area lockdown abilities, and synergistic combos with both melee and ranged allies.
- Signature weapons “Ocean’s Overture” (Catalyst) and “Earthshaper’s Bulwark” (Claymore) featured with increased drop rates.
Phase 2 — Cantarella & Brant (August 14 – September 4, 2025)
- Cantarella: Dark-element assassin focused on poison stacking, invisibility bursts, and quick execution skills.
- Brant: Sentinel-class protector with taunt mechanics, group shielding, and resistance buffs for prolonged engagements.
- Signature weapons “Venom’s Whisper” (Dagger) and “Bastionbreaker” (Greatsword) make their debut.
Both phases also include increased rates for a selection of 4★ Resonators and weapons chosen to complement the featured 5★ heroes. Players can plan ahead, experiment with different team compositions, and take advantage of event-exclusive enhancement materials available during the banner periods.
In addition to these banners, Version 2.5 introduces new character story quests for Phrolova and Cantarella, giving players deeper insight into their pasts, motivations, and relationships with other Resonators. Completing these quests rewards players with premium currency, upgrade materials, and unique cosmetics.
